1 – Exercise

One of the easiest and most effective coping skills to help with mental health is exercise. Moving your body and sweating is a great way to release stress. Running, going for a walk, or lifting weights are some easy ways to exercise and clear your mind.

2 – Talk to Someone

Meeting up with or calling a friend or family member can be a great opportunity to vent and get your feelings out. It can also be a great way to focus on other things and connect with others, which is an effective coping skill to help you forget your own problems and connect with others. Connecting with others is one of the best ways to get outside yourself and feel support. 

3 – Get Off Social Media

Social media can be a great way to connect with others, but it can also have a very negative effect on people and their mental health. It is easy to compare yourself with others when people are only showing the good things in their lives. Social media can also distract yourself from completing important tasks, leading to being unproductive and feeling sluggish.
