At Beecon Recovery, our strength is in our people. We’re not just professionals — we’re survivors, supporters, believers, and builders. Many of us have walked through addiction, incarceration, and brokenness ourselves — and we’ve come out the other side stronger, wiser, and on fire to help others do the same.
When clients enter our program, they’re not met with judgment or cold clinical detachment. They’re met with understanding, truth, and a team that knows exactly what it takes to rise.
Hello, I’m Tony Pool, the founder and operator of Beecon Recovery located in Brigham City, Utah. Having grown up in an environment affected by alcohol abuse, I understand the challenges of addiction firsthand. At Beecon, our mission goes beyond traditional recovery, we’re here to guide individuals on their journey to lasting sobriety.
As someone who experienced the impact of addiction within my own family, I am deeply committed to helping others overcome the struggles of drug and alcohol abuse. I am a highly experienced clinical therapist specializing in treating mental health and substance use disorders. With 27 years of experience in the field, I’m passionate about helping individuals overcome life’s most challenging obstacles, from addictions, and combat trauma to emotional, physical, and sexual abuse. Since joining Beecon Recovery in August 2023, I have thrived in a supportive environment, working alongside a dedicated team that shares his commitment to healing.
My therapeutic approach incorporates a variety of techniques, including prolonged exposure therapy for trauma, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gestalt therapy, and Adlerian counseling. I am particularly skilled in de-escalation, client-centered therapy, and criminal domestic violence assessments/treatments. My expertise has earned recognition as a Veterans Affairs Mental Health Care Provider of the Year in 2016. In 2019, I was called back to civilian service with the Department of Defense, where I was provided mental health support to pilots, navigators, and intelligence combatants post-mission. In 2025, I was honored with a ceremonial hatchet and warrior headdress in recognition of my significant contributions to the mission, especially as a proud member of the Eastern Band Cherokee.
I hold two Bachelor’s degrees in business administration with a minor in psychology and two Master’s degrees in counselor education and clinical counseling. I became a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in 2005. My dedication to the mental health field and the service of others continues to shape my legacy.
Outside of my professional life, I am a retired pilot who finds peace and joy in connection to the great outdoors. Whether hiking, enjoying live music, or cooking over an open fire, I value fellowship with family, friends, and neighbors. Through my Cherokee heritage, I share cultural teachings and honor traditions, offering a deeper connection to my roots and the community. A,HO!
I have a personal connection to addiction recovery, having walked the difficult path myself. My experience has fueled my passion for helping others overcome their struggles and realize that there is indeed life after addiction. For nearly four years, I’ve had the privilege of working with Beecon Recovery, where I started as a Peer Support Specialist. Through dedication, hard work, and a deep commitment to both Beecon Recovery and the people we serve, I have advanced to the role of Executive Director.
Every day, I am inspired by the resilience of those in recovery, and it is my mission to guide, support, and help them build new, fulfilling lives. Being part of this journey—seeing lives transformed—is the most rewarding part of my work.
I love the work I do at Beecon. I have been a R.N. for 32 years, and a professional Hypnotherapist since 2012. I love that I get to combine my skills with that of my co-workers to facilitate real transformation for our clients. At Beecon I get to live in my passion and my purpose.
I am Jennilyn Mckinnon, RN-CHT. I am a wife, mother of 6, grandmother, Registered Nurse, and Certified Hypnotherapist. My career of 30 + years as a nurse working with pain, anxiety, and trauma’s led me to become interested in the power of the mind. I watched patients that were near death, will themselves to live, and I watched patients who physically had no reason to die, will themselves to die. I have had a front-row seat to witness the power of the human mind. This combined with my experiences sitting at the bedside of patients in acute pain, led me to become an expert at a technique, referred to as guided imagery.
Guided Imagery is used to distract the mind from pain and anxiety and create a sense of safety and peace. I found that I could alleviate one’s pain and anxiety with just my voice, and reduce the amount of narcotics. In 2012 I decided to go deeper and become a Hypnotherapist. I opened my own private practice in Brigham City, UT. I now combine my skills as an RN with my skills as a Hypnotherapist.
Renee has been a nurse for more than 30 years with experience in critical care nursing, homecare and hospice nursing but her favorite is being the guided imagery nurse here at Beecon. She says “it’s thinking to be in such a transformative field” Renee’s expertise is also founded upon a Masters in health promotion and education focusing on resilience, the renaissance school of the healing arts focusing on multiple energy release therapies and massage therapy and the raising of her 7 very diverse children and 7 foreign exchange kids.
Renee lives in Farmington with her husband on a 2 acre ranchette, with 4 goats, 12 chickens and her cat, Paws, she enjoys her visits from her grand kids for science day. In her spare time she gardens, sails, plays piano and writes resilience curriculum for fun.

I’m Jade! I currently work in our Wellness Center as a Neurofeedback Technician. I am passionate about Neurofeedback because it has shown to be a great recovery tool for those suffering from addiction. Neurofeedback is a non-invasive technique that teaches patients how to handle their minds and body, as well as interact with the world more positively and productively. Neurofeedback has been shown to improve the rate of abstinence for those in recovery from substance abuse. Ever since I was in high school, I always pictured myself working in something to do with substance abuse. When I stumbled across the job listing for Beecon to do neurofeedback, I knew I had to apply and I’m so glad I did. Working here has truly changed my outlook on life and it has opened my eyes to so many things!
I am currently engaged to my fiancé Blade. We have a Border Collie/blue healer mix dog named Gabby and a Fancy Bearded Dragon named Wade. I enjoy spending my free time with my family, my niece, and my nephew are what keep me going and they are why I wake up every day.
Hayli DuBois serves as the Wellness Coordinator, where she plays an essential role in supporting patient wellbeing and monitoring progress throughout neurofeedback treatment. In her position, Hayli is responsible for preparing patients for their sessions, operating neurofeedback equipment, and providing follow-up care to ensure each patient has a positive and productive experience.
Hayli is also a trained Behavior Technician, specializing in working with individuals with disabilities using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. Her compassionate approach and dedication to helping others guide her work every day.
She takes great pride in treating everyone with kindness, love, and respect—values that shape both her professional and personal life. Outside of work, Hayli enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, and she volunteers as a coach for the Special Olympics.
Stone P. is a Wellness Coordinator at Beecon Recovery, where he conducts Neurofeedback sessions to support clients in building lasting wellbeing. Stone holds a Bachelors in Psychology and an Associates in Behavioral Science from Utah Valley University. He is also trained and licensed in massage therapy—an integrative modality he values—though this work is separate from his role at Beecon.
Recovery is deeply meaningful to Stone. He has seen addiction impact loved ones, mentors, and his community—and has experienced his own challenges as well. Inspired by this, he pursued his education in behavioral health and plans to continue toward a master’s degree to expand his ability to serve others.
Born and raised in Perry, Utah, Stone now has the privilege of raising his son in the same home where he grew up. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time in nature with his wife, son, and their three dogs. His hobbies include video games, movies and music, woodworking, hiking, biking, and kettlebell training.
Hey, I’m Morgan! As someone with lived experience in recovery and a former client at Beecon Recovery, I understand the courage it takes to begin healing. Now, as a Wellness Coordinator and working as a Rehab Admin I’m honored to support others on similar journeys. I believe in meeting people where they are, offering encouragement, empathy, and practical support as they work toward balance and lasting wellness.
My role is grounded not only in training, but in personal experience which gives me a unique perspective and a deep respect for the process of transformation.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, spending time with my dog, being a mom, and finding inspiration through music. It’s a joy to be part of a team that values connection, growth, and authenticity.
My name is Jazie. I grew up in Davis County, where I still live with my daughter and two dogs. I graduated with honors from Syracuse High School. After graduating from high school I struggled with addiction for a couple of years, and I am now a person in long-term recovery. I love my job as a Peer Support Specialist and Case Manager because I am able to help other individuals reach their goals of living a sober and healthy life. I am currently going to school for Social Work at Capella University. When I am not working you can find me spending time with my daughter, paddleboarding, on my four-wheelers, riding dirt bikes, or snowboarding.
I have a history of addiction and have watched numerous loved ones go through the struggle of addiction themselves. I have always wanted to help others see that it is possible to have a life outside of addiction and that they can still pursue their dreams. Working at Beecon has made that goal possible.
Hi, my name is Zjanelle (or ZJ) and I am a Case Manager here at Beecon Recovery. As a Case Manager, I am responsible for making sure our clients have support with all logistical areas of their lives. Whether that means a client needs help with insurance, finding a job, making phone calls, or even something as simple as giving them the space to make goals or help develop skills that will support and maintain their sobriety. Our main goal is to help our clients establish independence so they have the ability and confidence to complete these tasks on their own once they graduate from our program. As a wellness coordinator, we help educate, perform, and interpret neurofeedback to our clientele. My responsibilities vary from offering a peaceful environment to explaining what neurofeedback is to our clients and interpreting the information shown by their “trend screens.” Before working at Beecon, I owned my own hair business and I taught music lessons. Many of the people in my life have lost their battle to addiction, so what drew me to Beecon was having the opportunity to help other people struggling with addiction safely go home to their families, unlike what I had experienced in life.
In my personal life, I have a huge emphasis on spending quality time with the ones I love. I have a son who is the light of my life. In my free time, you can find me camping or being out in nature, watching a movie with my family and friends, playing musical instruments or going to concerts, or cooking/baking. I spent a majority of my time with my partner and son, making memories. I am currently going to college to become a therapist, and I plan on specializing in music therapy. I am a huge animal person, we have 2 dogs, 2 cats, a ball python snake, and a crested gecko in our household. My happy place is deep in the mountains on a light rainy day, or somewhere in 90 degree weather on a body of water spending time with the ones I love.
My name is Michael and I am a Peer Support Specialist at Beecon. In my youth, I attended Weber State University on a piano scholarship, but then I chose a different career path that would take me on the road driving the Greyhound bus through much of the US, Canada, and Mexico. During that time I received a 30 safe driving award and participated in the Driver Instructor program. Eventually, alcoholism got the best of me, but by the grace of God, I’ve been sober since April 09, 2018. Now I’m blessed to be a part of the team at Beecon, working with some very amazing people, and sharing my experience, strength, and hope with the clients. Beecon is a perfect fit for me at this point in my life.
My name is Michelle Nelson, and I am a Case Manager, Peer Support Specialist, and Sober Living Manager at Beecon Recovery. I am deeply committed to my work and passionate about helping others overcome addiction and find healing.
By sharing my personal journey, I aim to inspire hope and guide our clients toward discovering their own paths to a fulfilling and joyful life. As a Case Manager, I find great satisfaction in helping clients develop essential life skills and witnessing their success in areas where they once struggled.
I believe that my purpose is to help others achieve the same freedom from addiction that I have found. I am grateful to be part of Beecon Recovery, an organization that I believe provides effective and individualized pathways to recovery and a fulfilling life for each of our clients.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, crocheting, playing with my grandchildren, participating in community events, and supporting our local fellowship.
My name is Sabrina Rust and my positions at Beecon Recovery as a Certified Peer Support Specialist and Case Management Provider not only allow me to the opportunity to pursue a career helping others which is something I genuinely love and enjoy but my role in both positions are also extremely rewarding in so many different ways, one of the main ones being personal growth.
I, myself, am in recovery and I was lost in the dark depths of addiction for a good portion of my life and I love that I now have the opportunity to be the light to help guide people out of that darkness. I am able to use my past, that I was at one time ashamed of, as a tool that I am able to utilize every day to help those lost in addiction see that there is a way out and that it is possible to overcome even the worst addictions. I am able to help others find the same hope I found and it’s a beautiful, rewarding, life-changing event to witness and be a part of. I am able to help others become a better version of themselves while in turn becoming a better version of me. Being a recovering addict/alcoholic is never something in life I would’ve ever imagined I would be able to use for good or to benefit others or myself and fortunately I get to tell a different story today. All of the guilt and shame has slowly dissipated and I have been able to turn all of that into experience and a way to help my clients be able to relate and see that I have been in the same desperate, hopeless place.
I know that recovery looks different for everyone individually, but I also know that my ability to empathize and relate helps my clients tremendously. This position/role is something I choose as not just an occupation/career but a lifestyle as well
Anna Roberts brings both professional training and deeply personal experience to her work at Beecon Recovery. With more than two decades of lived experience navigating addiction, treatment programs, motherhood, and rebuilding life from the ground up, she shows up for others with authenticity, empathy, and zero judgment. When she’s not studying or supporting clients, Anna loves spending time with her two boys, learning, and showing people that it’s never too late to start over.

Kayla is passionate about helping people find balance. She has a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wyoming. She offers a unique blend of holistic healing in her approach as she is trained in Reiki and trauma informed grounding modalities found in somatic therapy. She has experience working with survivors of domestic violence and runs our bi-weekly family support process group. Kayla will stay with you in the here and now, processing in real time, providing a non judgmental space to get to the root of the patterns that have kept you stuck. She is a runner who models pacing and anchoring by helping your body to feel safe by slowing things down with intentional breath work and mind body awareness. One breath at a time, one foot in front of the other at your pace, you won’t have to do this alone. Fun fact: Kayla is a human design reflector.
I grew up locally in Ogden, Utah. I’ve personally struggled with addiction, and through that experience I learned a lot about myself and about life. I had to lose everything to really appreciate anything. Working in recovery has given me a sense of purpose, and I’m grateful to be part of a team that truly cares. I’ve been with Beecon for about six months now, and what I appreciate most is the authenticity of my coworkers—you can tell they actually care, and that makes a huge difference.
