Healing the Whole Family
Addiction affects more than the individual. It reaches into every corner of a family, impacting parents, spouses, partners, children, siblings, and close friends. At Beecon Recovery, we believe lasting recovery happens when loved ones are educated, involved, and empowered to support the healing process.
Every patient entering treatment at Beecon Recovery is asked to identify at least one mentor, family member, or support person who will participate in our Family Therapy Program. By involving loved ones throughout treatment, we help rebuild trust, improve communication, and create a strong foundation for long-term recovery.
Understand the science and nature of addiction
Navigate the recovery process alongside their loved one
Develop healthy communication patterns
Rebuild trust and strengthen relationships
Set boundaries that support recovery without enabling destructive behavior
Recognize the warning signs of relapse before a crisis develops
Build practical tools for long-term accountability and support
When families heal together, recovery becomes stronger and more sustainable.
Once a patient enters treatment, their designated family member, mentor, or support person begins meeting one-on-one with one of our therapists. These sessions give loved ones a space to process their own experiences and receive education on addiction, codependency, enabling behaviors, healthy boundaries, effective communication, and self-care. This foundation prepares them for the joint therapeutic work ahead.
After one to four individual sessions, family members and patients begin attending therapy together. These joint sessions typically occur once per week throughout the duration of treatment and focus on rebuilding trust, resolving unresolved conflicts, improving communication, creating healthy expectations, and developing accountability plans that support a recovery-focused family system. Our therapists guide every conversation in a supportive, structured environment.
Our Family Therapy Program is designed to ensure that patients leave treatment with a support system that understands addiction, communicates effectively, and is committed to the long haul. By the time treatment is complete, families have worked together to establish healthy communication patterns, create clear boundaries and expectations, develop accountability plans, strengthen trust and connection, and confidently identify the warning signs of relapse.
When patients return home, they are not returning to the same environment that existed before treatment. They are returning to a family that has grown, learned, and healed alongside them.
At Beecon Recovery, we believe addiction is a family disease and recovery is a family process. Through education, therapy, accountability, and connection, families become one of the strongest protective factors in a person’s recovery.
Our goal is simple: when a patient graduates from treatment, they leave with a support system that understands them, supports their recovery, and helps them stay accountable for years to come.
With the lowest relapse rate in the country, Beecon Recovery isn’t just leading Utah — we’re leading the nation in addiction recovery and relapse prevention. Our approach works because it’s real, rooted, and relentless in support.
No matter how many times someone has fallen — we help them rise for the last time.
