Breathwork Therapy
A Holistic Path to Emotional Release, Nervous System Regulation, and Deep Inner Healing
At Beecon Recovery, we understand that addiction and trauma are deeply intertwined—and that traditional talk therapy isn’t always enough. That’s why our treatment model includes Breathwork Therapy, a powerful, somatic healing practice that helps clients safely release trauma, reduce stress, and reconnect to themselves using the most accessible tool they already possess: their breath.
Our mission is to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms of addiction. Breathwork plays a critical role in our holistic framework—offering clients a direct, embodied path to healing that talk therapy alone cannot reach.

What Is Breathwork Therapy?
Breathwork is a trauma-informed practice that uses guided breathing techniques to shift clients from stress and emotional dysregulation into calm, clarity, and connection. It bypasses the cognitive mind and activates the body’s innate ability to process pain, grief, fear, and trauma that may have been stored for years.
At Beecon, we guide clients through structured breathing sequences that help unlock stored emotion, reduce anxiety, and bring clarity to mental and emotional blocks. It is not spiritual bypassing or escapism—it’s a grounded, research-supported modality integrated directly into our evidence-based recovery programs.
Why Breathwork Is Vital for Long-Term Recovery
For most of the individuals we serve, the root of addiction lies in unresolved pain, emotional overwhelm, and trauma. Breathwork allows these wounds to surface and heal—safely, somatically, and without judgment.
Breathwork Helps Clients
Regulate their nervous systems and manage triggers
Reduce cravings and compulsive behaviors
Access and release unresolved trauma
Increase emotional clarity and personal empowerment
Rebuild spiritual connection and inner peace
Learn real-time tools they can use outside the treatment room
Our clients often share that they feel lighter, more grounded, and more hopeful after their very first Breathwork session.
Part of a Proven, Holistic Model That Works
Beecon Recovery’s clinical model is centered around the Five Well Beings—Spiritual, Physical, Financial, Psychological, and Social. Breathwork supports nearly all five.
Unlike programs that treat addiction as a behavioral issue alone, Beecon addresses the emotional and somatic roots of substance use. It’s one reason our verified relapse rate is just 27.14%—the lowest in the country.
We don’t ask clients to “just talk about it”—we invite them to experience real emotional release and physical relief. Breathwork is a key part of how that happens.
How We Deliver Breathwork at Beecon Recovery
Breathwork at Beecon is not one-size-fits-all. It is personalized, safe, and fully integrated into our treatment approach. Our facilitators are trained in trauma-responsive techniques and tailor each session to the client’s emotional and physical capacity.
We offer:
Weekly guided Breathwork journeys
Integration support after each session
One-on-one sessions as needed
Group Breathwork in community with peers
Collaboration with clinicians and case managers for holistic continuity
Breathwork at Beecon is always voluntary and never forced. We honor each client’s readiness and capacity for this deep work.
Who Breathwork Is For
Breathwork is especially powerful for:
Individuals with a history of trauma, abuse, or emotional suppression
Clients who feel “stuck” in talk therapy
Those struggling with chronic anxiety, depression, or dissociation
People seeking a spiritual reconnection without religious pressure
Justice-involved individuals working through shame, fear, or system trauma
We serve those who are often told they’re “too difficult,” “too broken,” or “too far gone.” At Beecon, we know that with the right tools—and the right people walking beside them—transformation is possible.
We Don’t Just Say Recovery Is Possible. We Prove It.
With the lowest relapse rate in the country, Beecon Recovery isn’t just leading Utah — we’re leading the nation in addiction recovery and relapse prevention. Our approach works because it’s real, rooted, and relentless in support.
No matter how many times someone has fallen — we help them rise for the last time.
